Community summer heat awareness

Extreme heat is a shared risk. This demo shows how clinics, RWAs, volunteers and public guidance could assemble a local awareness push — without claiming medical services or official programmes already exist.

The problem

Location: Noida (neighbourhood-scale)

Neighbours know cooling tips, warning signs, and where to ask for help — via flyers, groups and optional clinic hours, if those partners actually join.

Evidence (labelled)

  • Seasonal heat is a documented public-health concern in North India.
  • This project is illustrative: no named clinic, funder, or government programme is enrolled here.

Stakeholders

  • Residents, especially outdoor workers and older adults
  • RWAs and apartment groups
  • Local clinics (if they choose to participate)
  • Volunteers
Illustrative demo · recruiting

Illustrative demo project for the Solution Assembly Lab. Puzzle pieces are hypothetical, not verified commitments or permissions.

Required components

  • Trusted information

    Simple, accurate heat-safety guidance.

  • Local reach

Ways to actually get the message to people.

Coverage 0/3 essential (0%)

Coverage scores essential pieces you selected. It is not feasibility, permission, or a promise of success.

On phones, use the list below. Drag-and-drop board appears from tablet width up.

Keyboard-friendly list. Select pieces you want in this draft. Suggested does not mean the resource is confirmed.

Solution blueprint

A sketch from this demo, not a project plan you can fund or operate tomorrow.

  • Critical dependencies: essential pieces still unselected or marked missing/permissions.
  • Gaps: Public heat-safety guidance, Awareness volunteers, Resident associations

Community Action Room

Demo-only interactions. Live posting, voting and comments stay on problem pages. This room never writes to Supabase.

You can still try the demo. Sign in later if we add authenticated persistence.

  1. Express interest. Volunteers and RWAs raise a hand.
  2. Discovery call. Agree language, channels, and what not to claim.
  3. Team formation. A small comms + volunteer pair.
  4. Pilot validation. One society, one week, then feedback.
  5. Execution or pause. Widen only if the note is accurate and welcome.

Possible execution steps

  • Draft the note: From public guidance; get a second reader.
  • RWA permission: Post only where allowed.
  • Share & listen: Track questions; never give medical diagnoses.
  • Review: Keep, translate, or stop.

Why people join

  • Protect neighbours during heat waves
  • Practice clear public communication
  • Recognition as a community health volunteer
  • Learning, not clinical credentials
